Nollywood star Funke Akindele has responded sharply to criticism from a social media user who mocked her choice of a ‘yellow and black plastic bag’ while gifting food to guests.

It all started when the billionaire actress took to her Snapchat page to share a video of how she treated some of her crew members who visited her house.

While bidding them goodbye, Akindele packed food items in a ‘yellow and black’ plastic bag, which immediately struck a chord and was followed by a comment from a Snapchat user.

“Aunty Funke you are not posh at all. Why yellow and black nylon?” the user wrote.

Akindele fires back with witty response

The filmmaker and politician wasted no time in clapping back, as this is not her first time being attacked or ridiculed for living her life.

In her reply, she sarcastically remarked, “Oh maybe I need to go and get plastic bags from Macy’s or Nordstrom. Elenu shipoti, you can come and buy nylon for me. I already blocked you. It’s a privilege for you to be seeing my snap. At least you can see I am an elderly person even if I am not old enough to be your mum. Wide mouth.”
