Nollywood star Funke Akindele recently shared insights into her personality, admitting that she often experiences life with intense emotions and actions.
During her guest appearance on The Morayo Show, Akindele discussed how she tends to love passionately but can also sever ties with people swiftly. She acknowledged the need to find a middle ground in managing her relationships.
“I realize that I can be quite extreme; I might love too intensely but also have the tendency to quickly cut people off. I’m aware that this is both a strength and a weakness, and finding balance is essential,” she explained.
Akindele expressed gratitude towards her close friend and fellow actor, Uzee Usman, for offering her valuable insights into relationships and leadership.
She recounted an instance when Usman advised her to embrace patience and empathy, particularly when she is in positions of leadership, encouraging her to approach interactions with greater understanding.
According to her, the advice prompted deep reflection on how she handles conflicts and interpersonal relationships.
Toward the end of the conversation, the actress also spoke about her upbringing, revealing that her late mother often encouraged her to be calmer despite her strong personality.
“I know I am an extremist. I love so hard, I’m real, I’m not perfect, I can be tough. When my mum was alive, she would always tell me to calm down… It’s good but calm down.
“Human relationships are very important to me, and I’m learning every day, but no matter what happens, my mental health is very important,” she concluded.
Her remarks come days after a viral video showed her appearing to snub fellow actress Toyin Abraham at the premiere of a movie by Iyabo Ojo, sparking conversations online.Young Man Confronts Mother Over Support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu
