Popular Yoruba actress Funmi Awelewa has taken to social media to express her grief by blacking out her social media profiles in mourning of her onscreen husband, Sisi Quadri.

The Nollywood actress, popularly known as Morili, and who shared a special on-screen bond with Sisi Quadri, expressed her deep sorrow on her Instagram page.

Funmi Awelewa, who portrayed Sisi Quadri’s on-screen spouse in various local series, took the poignant step of clearing her Instagram page of all images and replacing her profile photo with a dark image.

The passing of Sisi Quadri was first reported on the evening of March 1st, 2024, sending shockwaves across social media platforms. 

According to reports, the veteran actor succumbed to complications related to kidney issues.

The news was confirmed by blogger Seun Oloketuyi via his Instagram page, prompting an outpouring of condolences and tributes from the film industry.
