Garcelle Beauvais is stepping away from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills(RHOBH).

The actress and TV personality, 58, shared the news in a video message, revealing that her decision comes at a pivotal time for both her personal and professional life.

“Hey, guys. I have some news: I have decided to leave Beverly Hills. It’s been a wild ride, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened — but it’s been a ride nevertheless,” Beauvais said.

A major factor in her decision is her family, particularly her 17-year-old twin sons, Jaid and Jax. With their final year of high school approaching, Beauvais expressed her desire to be present for this important milestone.

“One of the reasons why I’m leaving is my family, my boys. Their last year of high school is next year and I want to be a part of that. And Jade is starting a new career and I want to be a part of that, too,”

In addition to focusing on family, Beauvais teased several exciting career ventures. “I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing and acting in — I can’t tell you anything now but you’ll know soon.”

Before signing off, she made sure to express gratitude to the people who made her RHOBH experience memorable, including Andy Cohen, Bravo, NBCUniversal, the production teams, and of course, her fellow cast members.

While she’s stepping away for now, Beauvais isn’t ruling out a return.

She says Andy told her she can “come back any time, the door will always be open.” She added: “You never know, I might pop in sometime.”

“It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later,” she said. “So see you later,” she said to her fans.

Garcelle Beauvais has three sons: Oliver Saunders, and twins Jax Joseph and Jaid Thomas. She recently became a grandma for the second time, a role she cherishes.

During an appearrance on the Sherri Shepherd Show earlier this month, she shared that she likes to be called “grandma”.

“I love the traditional—there’s a respect to it. I didn’t want a Gigi, I didn’t want a Mimi. I wanted Grandma ’cause there’s something traditional about it.”

She continued, “Except during the holidays, we were at the mall—we were at, you know, a guy store ’cause I have all boys. And these good-looking guys walked in, and I heard Oliver go, ‘Go to Grandma!’ And I was like, ‘No! This is not when we need Grandma!’ That was when I had a problem with it.”
