Garcelle Beauvais made a public appearance with her son, Jaid Thomas Nilon, on Tuesday evening at the Love of a Lifetime celebration hosted by Lifetime at Poppy in Los Angeles. This event came just days after a troubling incident occurred at her home.
The actress and television personality appeared to be in high spirits as she attended the January 27 event alongside Jaid. The gathering was a convergence of cast members and creatives involved in the Lifetime project, fostering a lively atmosphere.
The outing followed a tense situation at Beauvais’ residence on Sunday night when police responded to a distressing, yet false, emergency call. Reports indicate that the caller pretended to be Beauvais’ ex-partner, falsely claiming to be armed with a sawed-off shotgun at her home.
Speaking to TMZ, Beauvais recounted the unsettling experience, noting she was at home when law enforcement arrived, and she was unaware of who made the call. She characterized the incident as “horrible” but expressed relief that her family was not present in the house during the ordeal. Authorities later confirmed that the emergency call was, indeed, a hoax.
Beauvais later said in an interview with TMZ that she was home when officers arrived and did not know who placed the call. She described the experience as “horrible” but said she was relieved her family was not inside the house at the time. Police later confirmed the call was false.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is a mother of three to 18-year-old twin sons Jax and Jaid, along with her older son, Oliver.
The twins turned 18 in October, a milestone Beauvais celebrated last year alongside their father, Mike Nilon. For the occasion, the family hosted a birthday party that transformed a studio in Southern California into the streets of New York.
