Genesis, Son of Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz, Launches New YouTube Show

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz’s 11-year-old son, Genesis Dean, is stepping into the spotlight with a YouTube show of his own.

Called The Coolest Things in the World, the series follows the young host as he interviews CEOs about their businesses, creative projects and the work that sets their companies apart.

Swizz Beatz announced the new YouTube series on Instagram Sunday, October 11.

“We would like to say congrats to our son Genesis for his new show on YouTube,” the proud father wrote. “He wanted to do a show interviewing CEOs of cool companies and show the coolest things they are doing.”

“He wants to show you things from his lens,” Swizz added.

In the premiere episode of The Coolest Things in the World, Genesis speaks with Constantin Buschmann, CEO and owner of BRABUS, the German luxury automotive company known for its high-performance vehicles.

The interview gives Genesis a close-up view of the BRABUS BODO, a 1,000-horsepower hypercar created in tribute to Buschmann’s late father, Bodo Buschmann, who founded the company.

The vehicle’s sleek all-black design and carbon-fiber construction quickly grabbed the young presenter’s attention.

“It is so cool. So lit,” Genesis said while taking in the car. He later described the striking hypercar as “the littest thing on earth.”

Still, Genesis wanted to know more than what made the car look impressive. He was also interested in the creative process behind it.

“So, tell me, how long did it take for you to, like, do the designs on the car?” he asked Buschmann.

Buschmann said his father had first raised the idea more than two decades earlier, but died before the project could become reality.

“It took us eight years to finally do this,” he told Genesis.

He also revealed that the BRABUS BODO was the first vehicle of its kind to arrive in the United States. The hypercar was set to join Swizz Beatz’s Dean Collection.

Genesis is not the only son of Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz pursuing business opportunities. His older brother, 15-year-old Egypt Dean, recently made a seven-figure investment in sports hydration company Ballislife HYDRO. The investment was funded with royalties Egypt earned after producing a beat that Kendrick Lamar later used on a song.

At the time, Swizz spoke about the investment and explained that he and Alicia have always supported their children in developing their individual interests.

“We’ve always encouraged our children to pursue their passions and make thoughtful decisions,” he said. “Egypt did his homework, believed in the opportunity, and invested because it aligned with who he is.”
