The movie, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, which is based on a bestselling book series by Bernard Waber, is unquestionably going to become a holiday favorite as it hit theaters, and is on some streaming services, November 22. In the movie, we see a familiar face, sister of Melodie Hurd, Lyric Hurd. If you remember, we first got to know the sisters when they appeared on Ellen, wowing audiences with their “Juju on That Beat” viral dance video. Well, Melodie went on to star in the Kevin Hart Netflix movie, Fatherhood, and now, fast-forward through time, and Lyric is staring as Trudy in Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. Recently, the 13-year-old sat down with JustJaredJr for an exclusive interview. Take a look below to get to know more about Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile actress Lyric Hurd!

According to Lyric’s interview with JustJaredJr.com, here are 10 fun facts about this awesome young lady that we definitely needed to know:

Melody is not Lyric’s only sister…and all of their names give a nod to music.

I have 3 sisters, all of whom have musical names. (Melody, Rhythm, and Tempo.)

Lyric has a special way to eat Chipotle.

I eat Chipotle at least once a week and I do not mix the ingredients.

She’s been acting for 9 years.

I started acting at the tender age of four after winning a local talent competition (Glynn Jackson’s Showbiz Kids of the DMV).

What creepy crawlers make Lyric scared?

I am EXTREMELY afraid of spiders and bees.

Lyric is a baker!

I enjoy doing bake-offs with my friends and family.

And…kick collector.

I love Jordans, and have quite the collection.

Genetic longevity runs in Lyric’s family.

My great-grandmother, Helen Hurd, is 100 years old.

Lyric’s dental check-ups are always a breeze.

I have never had a cavity.

Boxing is in her blood.

I come from a family of boxers, and my Uncle Swift Jarrett Hurd is a former unified light middleweight world champion.

Homeschool vs. Traditional school?

I’ve been homeschooled since 1st grade.

If you haven’t heard about Lyle, Lyle Crocodile, here is a brief synopsis of the action according to JustJaredJr.com. 

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile follows the Primm family as they move to New York City, where their Josh (Winslow Fegley) struggles to adapt to his new school and new friends. All of that changes when he discovers Lyle – a singing crocodile (voiced by Shawn Mendes) who loves baths, caviar and great music-living in the attic of his new home.
