Giada De Laurentiis recently honored the memory of her younger brother Dino, marking 22 years since his passing at the age of 31 due to melanoma.

The 55-year-old culinary entrepreneur, known for founding Giadzy, shared a pair of nostalgic black-and-white photographs of the siblings as young children, playfully sitting in a bucket.

Giada – who boasts 7.2M social media followers – captioned her Instagram slideshow: ’22 years without my partner in crime, miss [you] every day.’

Dino, who is survived by his wife Talley, carried the legacy of their grandfather, the renowned Oscar-winning film producer Dino De Laurentiis, in his name.

During his career, Dino contributed to Cinergi Pictures, serving as a producer’s assistant on several action films, including two featuring Bruce Willis: “Color of Night” (1994) and “Die Hard with a Vengeance” (1995).

His expertise also extended to roles such as post-production supervisor for “Dragonheart: A New Beginning” (1999) and visual effects associate producer for “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow” (2004).

In 2016, De Laurentiis (born Benedetti) celebrated her brother’s life in an episode titled ‘A Tribute to Brother Dino’ during the second season of her Food Network series, Giada in Italy.

In it, the three-time Daytime Emmy winner and her sister Eloisa whipped up a meal inspired by some of his favorite dishes, including charred broccoli rabe and pork chops with a balsamic glaze.

In 2013, Giada helped memorialize Dino in a Stand Up to Cancer PSA on behalf of the Melanoma Research Alliance, and she gets her moles checked by a dermatologist ‘every three months.’

‘He was the person I turned to for everything. When something great happened in my life, when something bad happened – I would talk to him two to three times per day,’ De Laurentiis told ET.

‘I regularly wear sunscreen, no matter what. And I regularly check my body. Those are the two most important things, because had my brother checked his skin and checked his body, he would have seen that something wasn’t right.’

The Giada in My Kitchen host recalled: ‘My brother was in his 20s. The mole was in the center of his back, and it’s not like he’s going to turn around and look at his back in the mirror. And he didn’t really see it for a long time.’

Giada welcomed 17-year-old daughter Jade Marie Thompson during her 11-year marriage to Todd Thompson, which ended in 2015.

Giada keeps busy running her lifestyle and e-commerce platform, Giadzy, that she founded in 2017 which features recipes, travel trips, videos and kitchen products.

De Laurentiis also owns two restaurants in Las Vegas, Pronto and Giada.
