Charleston is a small town — and it just keeps getting smaller.

Eagle-eyed Bravo fans were quick to notice that Andrew Dietz, who was dating Salley Carson during the filming of Southern Charm Season 10, also shared some history with Southern Hospitality star Grace Lilly.

The long-haired nutritionist began talking to Lilly in Southern Hospitality Season 1 after they met at Leva Bonaparte‘s Bourbon and Bubbles restaurant on a Monday night. But by the end of that same week, Lilly learned that Mia Alario’s friend was also dating him. The revelation resulted in a screaming match between the two women after Lilly called Alario’s friend a “slut” during the group trip to a NASCAR race.

Now, years later, Dietz — who also did a stint on Max’s FBoy Island before getting voted off in Episode 1 — has reemerged as Carson’s boyfriend on Southern Charm.

“What’s crazy is that he is such a fuck boy. He was on FBoy Island, first off,” Lilly told DECIDER over a recent Zoom interview. “So that says everything you need to know about him.”

Lilly also described Dietz — who is no longer dating Carson — as an “opportunist.”

“I don’t think he’s genuine. I think he is just bad vibes,” she said. “So was I surprised? Not really because there are some people that will do anything to try to get on TV. He’s one of them.”

When Southern Charm Season 10 introduced viewers to Carson, her history with Taylor Ann Green‘s boyfriends caused quite a bit of drama between the two ladies. Not only did Carson sleep with Shep Rose, who dated Green for two years, but she also had a fling (or a full-blown relationship, if you ask her) with Green’s current boyfriend Gaston Rojas. Following? Good, because that’s not all!

Green revealed in her confessional that she was previously in a situationship with Dietz — and she had similar sentiments to Lilly when it came to his intentions.

“I did not date Andrew. We went on one dinner date and I babysat one glass of wine the entire time. That tells you how the date went,” she told DECIDER over Zoom. “So, I mean, no, it doesn’t surprise me at all seeing him pop up. There’s a few people in Charleston who are clearly just fame hungry. And I think he might be one of those people. [Dietz and Carson] make a great match.”

While Green was forced to see Dietz during filming, Lilly said she hasn’t spoken to him since he caused all of that drama on Southern Hospitality.

“I unfollowed him on Instagram. I had to,” she said. “I don’t like fuck boys. I really don’t. They’re just not the vibe.”

Southern Hospitality airs Thursday nights at 9/8c on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
