A new season of Grey’s Anatomy debuting in the fall is a television tradition like no other. The first of seven straight new episodes of Shonda Rhimes’ long-running series premieres tonight (October 9) as we brace ourselves for all the drama to come in Season 22. Tonight’s installment (“Only the Strong Survive”) centers on the aftermath of the catastrophic hospital explosion from the Season 21 finale.
Per ABC, Grey Sloan’s staff scrambles to save not only their patients’ lives but also their own as they’re confronted with impossible surgical decisions and emotional turmoil.

It’s a night of returns and premieres on ABC! Season 9 of 9-1-1 and the new 9-1-1: Nashville series air from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET, followed by the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy at 10:00 p.m. ET.
