Gwyneth Paltrow has come out swinging against speculation that she and Meghan Markle are embroiled in a feud.

The actress, 52, shut down the rumors about her relationship with the Duchess of Sussex, 43, in the Thursday, April 24 episode of podcast “The World’s First Podcast With Erin & Sara Foster.”

“You know what I won’t be at this point in my life?” Paltrow said during the podcast, after being asked if the rumors spread by fans and followers were true. “I won’t be a pawn in some drummed-up, triangulation of women feud for your f***ing clickbait.”

The Goop founder added that she wanted to be excluded from the feuding women narrative, adding: “Leave us out of it. Don’t do that. I will not stand for that.”

Far from competing against the With Love, Meghan creator, Paltrow said she actually wants Markle to do well in her career pursuits.

“Again, I wish Meghan nothing but the best. Like, it’s so great what she’s doing. I’m proud of her,” Paltrow continued. “Every woman deserves to go into anything they want to do.”

It’s not the first time Paltrow has addressed the negative rhetoric surrounding herself and Markle.

Last month, they teamed up to silence the online trolls and haters in a clever social media post.

Paltrow took to her Instagram Story on March 25, for a fan Q&A where one user asked if she was aware of the “Meghan Markle beef social media says you two have.”

“I genuinely do not understand this at all whatsoever,” the actress replied in a video before panning the camera to Markle who was sitting beside her. “Do you understand this?”

Markle, for her part, sat at Paltrow’s kitchen table and snacked on a piece of pie and shrugged, indicating she had no idea where the rumors originated either.

Despite neither woman speaking badly about each other, the internet has been speculating about drama between them over their respective businesses. Paltrow is the founder of lifestyle brand Goop while Meghan recently entered the wellness industry with her brand As Ever.

In addition to her selection of jams, honey and tea, Markle launched her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, earlier this year.

Paltrow told Vanity Fair in March that she had no issue with Markle and declared there was plenty of room in the wellness business for both of them.

“[When] there’s noise about certain women in the culture, I do have, always, a strong instinct to stand up for them,” she said in the interview with Vanity Fair.

“I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,” she added. “I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”
