Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s former husband, Ryan Anderson, is sharing his reaction to the death of Ken Urker.
Urker, the former fiancé of the Life After Lockup star, was found dead from a suspected overdose on Oct. 1, his 34th birthday. The news prompted Anderson to speak about the tragedy.
“I didn’t believe it at first. I was like no,” Anderson said during the Oct. 2 episode of The Sarah Fraser Show. “My initial thought was shock, like, ‘Hmm, how’d that happen?’”
His thoughts soon turned to Blanchard and her 2-year-old daughter, Aurora, whom she shared with Urker.
“My immediate thought went to, ‘How’s Gypsy?’” Anderson said. “My immediate thought was, ‘How’s she doing. And what about their kid?’”
Blanchard and Anderson married in 2022 while she was incarcerated for her role in the killing of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. The couple announced their separation in March 2024, after Blanchard was released from prison in 2023.
