Halle Bailey has shared insights into how her son, Halo, has sparked a transformation in her artistic expression.
In a recent guest spot on Live with Kelly and Mark, the actress from You, Me and Tuscany discussed the profound impact motherhood has had on her musical journey.
“Motherhood changes you profoundly. I find myself feeling emotions much more intensely, which is a fantastic catalyst for creativity and songwriting. It provides a wealth of experiences and a richer emotional palette to draw from,” Bailey explained. “The love I feel now is unparalleled. It’s truly remarkable.”
In another interview on the IMO with Michelle and Craig podcast, Bailey revealed that becoming a parent has encouraged her to express herself more openly.
In a separate conversation on the IMO with Michelle and Craig podcast, Bailey said becoming a parent pushed her to be more vocal.
“Like I talk about how now I’m like more stronger. I use my voice more. I’m not afraid to speak up. Whereas before, I think I’ve become accustomed to, especially in this industry, you know, you’re used to just smiling and being people pleasing and like, okay, sure, whatever you say. But when it came to him, I was like, no, like I have this urge to speak up for him. And that was something that was really different than the old me because it was a bit more timid and yeah, I would definitely say there’s always an edge, like a new edge for sure.”
Ultimately, she is just trying to be the best version of herself, professionally and personally.
“I think especially at my age, I’m just really trying to learn how I can be the best version of myself so I’m a better mom for him,” she continued. “The big standout this year for me is when I’m working, when I am on a film set, what it means to me to be able to bring my child with me, to travel the world, allow him to see the world too.”
Bailey welcomed Halo in December 2022 with her ex-boyfriend, DDG.
