HBO has officially renewed Industry for its fifth and final season.
Creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay shared their excitement in a statement, praising the show’s successful journey on HBO. This announcement arrives just ahead of the current season’s finale.
“Becoming part of the select group of HBO dramas that reach five seasons is an honor,” Down and Kay expressed. “It’s been nearly ten years since the inception of INDUSTRY, brought to life by the incredible support from our partners at HBO — Casey, Frannie, Kara, Cela, Sam, Kathleen, and Max.”
Down and Kay, who also take on the roles of showrunners, writers, directors, and executive producers, hinted at what fans might expect in the upcoming season.
“We’ve been contemplating the perfect way to conclude the series on a remarkable note. Unlike some of our characters, we know precisely when it’s time to exit the stage,” they remarked.
The series creators concluded their statement with a message to fans, “We’d like to thank our evangelical fan base, especially those who have watched from day one. Finally: we owe everything to our crew and the best cast on TV for making our writing live. The characters will live on because of their world class performances. Seeing the HBO ident in front of our work will never stop being a thrill. It remains the best place to make television, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration well into the future.”
According to HBO, Season 4’s ratings are 30% ahead of the third season, with an average of 1.7 million viewers per episode.
Season 4 is set to conclude Sunday, March 1. The episode will air an hour early at 8 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max.
Industry is streaming now on HBO Max.
