I want to note right here, right now, that my brother is actually a pretty great gift-giver. That said, I have the absolute hardest time shopping for him. Shopping for siblings can be difficult — should you go the practical route and update their basic T-shirts or be extravagant and get them a new watch? If you’re looking for some ideas that fall somewhere in the middle, this is where I can help you out. Here are 13 gifts for your sister under $50.

Like I said, I’m a sister, so I believe I have some experience. I’d be happy to receive any of these gifts this year (*hint hint, bro*), but there’s actually something on this list for every type of gal. Whether you’re shopping for the beauty buff, the traveler, the foodie, the wellness guru or the really funny one, there’s a gift for her on this list.

Sure, you could just go with a gift card to her favorite store, salon or restaurant. Gift cards are always nice. But if you want to really step it up this year, consider this guide your key to success.

Nonetheless, if you don’t have a big budget, don’t worry about that either. Most of these gifts are $50 or less, and some are even as low as $20. (You’re welcome!)

1. Fresh Hesperides Grapefruit Bodycare Set, $48

Credit: Fresh

Everyone needs soap! It’s true! Upgrade your sister’s self-care routine with this grapefruit-scented body wash and body lotion from Fresh. It uses shea butter and vitamins C & E to hydrate skin and make shower time feel a little extra ~fancy~.

2. Dagne Dover Small Hunter Toiletry Kit, $45

Credit: Dagne Dover

If you have a sister who travels a lot, this toiletry bag can help her keep all of her skin care and makeup in tote. This is the small size, and it comes in a few colors, but the light violet is on trend.

3. Mark & Graham Scallop Card Holder, $19.99 – $32.49 (Orig. $39 – $51.50)

Credit: Mark & Graham

Card holders are so much easier to fit into belt bags, crossbody handbags and basically all handbags. Get your sister one of these while they’re on sale — and add her monogram for $12.50 to make it more personalized. (If you decide to get it monogrammed, make sure you double-check the processing and shipping times, so it gets to you before the holiday!)

4. Birthdate Candle, $49.99 (Orig. $59.99)

Credit: Birthdate

This personalized gift shows you planned ahead this year! First, remember your sister’s birthday and then choose a candle based on her special day. Each scent is unique to the day, and the label has a unique personality reading on the back.

5. Glossier – The Touch-Up Kit, $45

Credit: Glossier

Your sister needs to keep Glossier’s Touch-Up Kit in her bag. It includes its TikTok-viral and best-selling perfume, along with Ultralip in a limited-edition holiday red called Corial.

6. Our Place Night + Day Glasses, $37 (Orig. $50)

Credit: Our Place

If you have a sis who recently moved into her own place, you can bet she probably doesn’t have a set of matching drinking glasses yet. These ones are stackable, so they’re perfect for small spaces, and you can get them in several different colors.

7. The Original MakeUp Eraser 10-Day Cloth Set, $35

If you have a sister who’s practically a makeup artist, get her this set of Makeup Erasers. All she has to do is add water to one and wipe off her face. You can tell her that they’re more sustainable than makeup wipes and work faster, too.

8. kate spade new york mini initial pendant necklace, $44

This is one of those gifts that, because it’s somewhat personalized, feels like you put a lot of thought into it. Get your sister this necklace with her first initial on it — she can wear it on its own or layer it with her other jewelry.

9. lululemon – The Hot/Cold Bottle, $38

Credit: lululemon

You can probably tell from the name, but this lululemon water bottle keeps drinks hot or cold for a while. Get it for the sister who has big fitness goals or the one who always leaves a glass of water out at home.

10. Our Table Nonstick Aluminum 2-Piece Fry Pan Set, $20 (Orig. $40)

Credit: Bed Bath & Beyond

These editor-approved frying pans look much more expensive than they are. Luckily, they’re nonstick and work like they cost a lot, too. No one has to know they’re only $20!

11. H&M Oversized Turtleneck Sweater, $34.99

Credit: H&M

This cozy turtleneck is long enough that your sister can wear it with leggings at home or out to dinner with jeans.

12. Golde Beauty Cocoa Kit, $36

Credit: Golde

If you have a sister who’s always on the beat with wellness trends, get her Golde’s Beauty Cocoa Kit. It’s essentially everything she needs to make a hot chocolate with health benefits. The kit includes the brand’s Shroom Shield (yes, it tastes like chocolate) and Coconut Collagen for a superfood boost.

13. Slip! The Conversation Game, $32 (Orig. $34)

Credit: Live Deeply

If you have a funny sister that loves to play games, have her try Slip! The Dinner Game. Essentially, it’s a stack of cards with pre-written phrases, and players have to see how many they can slip into conversations undetected.
