Some social media users speculated that the moment was planned in advance, which at least one source corroborated.
“She ‘always’ had this moment in mind,” an insider said, per Yahoo!.
The source said the wardrobe malfunction was a “genius” PR move designed to shift the conversation away from Lopez’s divorce and onto her toned body.
“With her abs on full display, no one’s talking about her marriage anymore,” the source said.
Lopez has dealt with a great deal of bad press recently, and the wardrobe malfunction has seemingly brought people back on her side. Even if she did choreograph the moment in advance, it worked out well for her.
