A man has recounted a harrowing experience after facing off with armed robbers who targeted him shortly after his visit to a bank in Minna.

Speaking at a church service led by Pastor Johnson Suleman, the man detailed the events of the attack, which took place on a Friday and resulted in the theft of ₦9 million from him.

Despite being in the midst of a fast, the man said he began to pray fervently. In an unexpected turn of events, he mustered the courage to seize a firearm from one of the assailants and began to fire back, despite having no prior experience with guns.

He described how the robbers shot at him, yet miraculously, the bullets did not cause him any harm. Standing his ground, he blocked the path of the robbers’ vehicle and proclaimed that it would not move.

According to his account, the vehicle failed to start when the robbers tried to flee, an act he attributed to divine intervention.

He said in part …

“Immediately I left the bank, årmed røbbers att@cked me and collected my ₦9 million. I started praying in tongues even though I was fasting that day. God then gave me the grace to grab one of their gûns and started shøøting back at them. They were shøøting at me too, but the bullets did not penetrate me. I had never shot before. I don’t have anything training. I was speaking in tongues and went in front of the car and shot at the driver and said this car will not move. Unless I am not serving the God of my father. Unfortunately they started the car and the car refused to move”
