The Super Bowl may not have gone how Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift wanted, but that doesn’t mean they’re not in a good place. According to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s dad, Ed Kelce, the pair are embarking on a “very good period” of their relationship. 

Taylor and Travis have more time to ‘really’ bond 

Speaking to Today Show Australia ahead of Super Bowl LIX, Kelce’s dad shared that his son is “very happy” with Swift and that they were excited about spending time together out of the public eye. 

“I think we get past the Super Bowl, I think it’s going to be a very good period for the two of them without the NFL season, without the Eras Tour,” Kelce’s father said. (Swift’s record-breaking tour wrapped in early December 2024.) “Just them alone, really connecting more. And I think that can only be a good thing.”

Previously an insider claimed Swift’s ready for the next “era” of her life Kelce amid conversations about children and someday living together. 

Swift and Kelce are taking time out of the spotlight after the Super Bowl 

Following KC’s Super Bowl loss, the “Fortnight” singer and NFL star are reportedly doing what Kelce’s dad predicted—taking it easy. As an insider told People, Kelce and Swift “have a break together” after the big game. Sure, losing “was upsetting for everyone,” but the pair are taking this time as a breather. 

“Their lives have been a whirlwind since they first started dating,” the insider explained. “Things seem great between them, and they’re incredibly happy together.” 

Their “break” from the spotlight comes after Swift attended nearly all of Kelce’s home games at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., during the 2024-25 NFL season. “She truly loves watching Travis play,” the source added. Not to mention many viral moments and date nights. 

Travis Kelce has ‘it all’

During an interview with Westwood One Sports on Feb. 8, 2025, one day before Super Bowl LIX, Kelce opened up about where he’s at in his life. Asked by sports reporter Laura Okmin what he wants in life in a clip shared by a fan account on X he replied, “Oh, my goodness. I think I found it all…I just gotta, you know, keep it all.” 

“I absolutely love where I’m at in life. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” he continued. “I’m enjoying coming into work and what I do for a profession in my career. And I have an unbelievable support of family and friends who are chasing me down here for yet another Super Bowl. I’m just a very fortunate individual and [I’m] trying to take advantage of all the good days I got.”
