Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce surprised fans by announcing their engagement on Tuesday — quashing wild theories in a once-viral ‘breakup contract.’

The ‘entirely false and fabricated’ contract, which made the rounds on social media last September, suggested that the A-list couple were involved in a fake PR relationship with a set breakup date.

And the couple fully debunked the speculation surrounding their two-year romance on Tuesday as they used Instagram to confirm their engagement — nearly a year after the ‘breakup contract’ first leaked.

Swift, 35, shared photos from their romantic engagement photoshoot with her 281million followers, eagerly showing off the incredible ring that the NFL hunk, also 35, proposed with.

Alongside the heartwarming photos, which had fans sobbing in reaction, Swift captioned the post: ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.’

While the announcement was made Tuesday, Daily Mail confirmed that the couple  — who were first romantically linked in 2023 — got engaged earlier this month.

This week, the music icon revealed that she is set to walk down the aisle and marry her football player beau after two years together in spite of rumors that they were ‘faking’ their romance; seen in July 2023 in Santa Clara, California

The happy news comes nearly one year after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end spoke out on the same day that a leaked ‘contract’ had previously claimed was the date he and Swift had planned to split. 

The contract was widely believed to be fake even when it first went viral, but Kelce’s camp were quick to make it known that it was ‘entirely false and fabricated.’

The so-called contract previously claimed the duo were set to announce their split on September 28 in 2024. 

The pair had been dating for just one year at the time and the breakup date stipulated in the alleged contract passed without any fanfare. 

Now, the pair are engaged to be married after they first sparked romance rumors in the summer of 2023 — snuffing out any last, remaining speculation that they were involved in a ‘PR relationship.’

Without any news about a split back then, Kelce also casually took to social media to ignore the fan speculation and instead tweeted about football to his teammate.

He made no mention of his then-girlfriend nor the contract that alleged their romance would not last.

His representatives even claimed they had brought in lawyers to try to find whoever created the ‘unlawful and injurious forgery of documents.’

The document, which was first posted on Reddit last September, outlined a detailed plan to release an official statement regarding their breakup at the end of the month. 

Finally proving the trolls wrong, Swift shared the exciting news that she was now engaged to the inspiration behind her love song: So High School.

Many of her fans have expressed excitement over Swift and her fiancé’s romance, convinced that they are in the long haul if the superstar is going the extra length to be more vocal about their love story and show off their romance in the public eye — a non-coincidence in her past string of relationships. 

Their engagement comes just weeks ahead of the two-year anniversary date of the Grammy winner and her beau going public with their romance.

The news also comes just a few weeks after Swift announced that she would be releasing her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3.

She unveiled the album cover on her now-fiancé’s podcast New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, earlier this month.
