By now, you’ve probably tried out TikTok’s AI-powered filter, Bold Glamour. If not, it gives you a full face of makeup with stronger brows, a precise cat eye, contoured cheekbones and plumper lips. While not everyone is a fan of the filter (and there are obvious reasons why it could be problematic), I like that it showed me what I’d look like with fuller lips. I’ve looked into getting lip filler in the past and decided against it based on risks, cost and the fact that I’m a total commitment-phobe. However, leave it to TikTok to find a cheaper, needle-free alternative.

The Vitamasques Instant Lip Filler Mask recently went viral on TikTok for its fast and real lip-plumping abilities. It has 400 dissolved micro-darts that release a tiny amount of serum containing Volulip, a cosmetic ingredient proven to increase the volume of lips. (Heads up, like a lot of other lip-plumping products, it will make your lips tingle.)
Essentially, the mask will hydrate lips and diminish fine lines to make them look fuller. While the brand says the results last a long time, they don’t share exactly how long you should expect your results to last. So far, no one on TikTok has done a follow-up video to share their long-lasting results either, so it’s probably a safe bet to assume it doesn’t last more than a few hours.

However, because of the lip mask’s virality on TikTok, it’s selling out fast. At Target, where it’s available for $7.39, the brand sold over 5,000 masks in 72 hours after @ridge.x shared his immediate results. You can order it online from Target’s website or get a 3-pack of the Vitamasque Instant Lip Filler Mask on Amazon for $14.99. Either way, you’ll want to shop fast. According to the brand, its sales are up to 250% right now.
Sure, the results don’t last as long as real lip filler, but that’s partly why it’s great. Now, you can plump your lips up before a night out on the town, before a big event or just for fun anywhere, anytime. After a while, your lips will go back to being their original, just as beautiful version — no harm done.
