What happens in Vegas might remain a mystery, but not when it comes to Pluribus. In this case, we can’t stop talking about it!

The sixth episode of Vince Gilligan’s renowned Apple TV series sends Carol (Rhea Seehorn) to Las Vegas. There, she reconnects with her old friend Mr. Diabaté (Samba Schutte) at the Westgate Hotel, where he is fulfilling his dream by staying in the penthouse once occupied by Elvis Presley.

Warning: Spoilers for Pluribus Episode 6 ahead.

Early scenes in Vegas depict Mr. Diabaté and his entourage living it up in a lavish Westgate suite. They indulge in poker, cocktails, and the high life, enjoying amenities like a hot tub, patio, outdoor pool, and breathtaking views. The grandeur and architectural beauty of the suite are apparent, especially when Carol arrives and finds herself alone with Koumba in the opulent penthouse, allowing viewers to soak in its Elvis-themed splendor.

But is the Westgate Las Vegas where Pluribus actually filmed? Can fans book a stay in the suite Mr. Diabaté calls home in the show? Is there a real Elvis Presley penthouse at the Westgate? We have the answers you’re looking for, along with insights from Pluribus star Samba Schutte himself!

Where Was Pluribus Episode 6 Filmed? What To Know About Westgate Las Vegas Hotel

First things first: Yes, Westgate is a real hotel in Las Vegas. And yes, Pluribus really filmed there! In fact, the Vegas scenes were the first ones that Schutte shot.

“We started with Episode 6 over Episode 2, so that was the first time I was shooting. Stepping into those shoes was ridiculous,” Schutte told Decider over Zoom, confirming that the decor in the penthouse — including the giant photos of him and Elvis — were very real.

“I remember coming into Vegas and then like hour two of walking around the casino, security guards are chasing me, and I’m like, ‘What did I do? I didn’t steal!’ And they’re like, ‘Oh no, you’re the guy we saw outside!’ And I’m like, ‘What do you mean?!’ And they lead me outside and there’s these huge photos of me in Elvis Presley outfits hanging out outside the casino,” Schutte explained. “So there were portraits of me everywhere, the finest clothes, 150 extras all watching me play this poker game.”

Westgate’s website lists the Imperial Sky Villa at 13,200 square feet, noting that it sleeps up to 10 people and can entertain up to 200 guests. It has a private courtyard, pool, and elevator, plus a fireplace, bar, and jacuzzis in each room. Oh, and lots of Elvis memories, of course!

“Formerly known as the Tuscany Sky Villa, the Imperial Sky Villa is more than a name change — it’s a living, breathing piece of Las Vegas history,” the Westgate notes. “Originally built atop the hotel when it opened in 1969, this area was once home to Elvis’ suite — known as the ‘Elvis Presley Suite’ — where the King himself lived during his legendary Vegas residency. This very space once housed Elvis’ bed, making it a true landmark for fans of the King.”

As Schutte reminisced on filming his Episode 6 scenes, he said, “The opulence was ridiculous.”

“We did not decorate those hotel rooms. That’s how the suites are. And it was so fun to shoot there, because you really felt Mr. Diabaté’s fascination with Elvis. Where we shot the poker scene was Elvis’ actual bedroom when he stayed there for eight years when it was called The International Hotel,” Schutte revealed. “It was just like living my fantasy within my fantasy. It was so fun to to experience and to feel that energy of how old this place has been, how much history it has, and how much opulence you’re surrounded by. I didn’t have to act because it was literally all there.”
