Nara Smith recently shared the emotional odyssey she experienced during the arrival of her fourth child.

In a heartfelt Instagram update, the 24-year-old influencer looked back on the birth of her daughter, Fawnie Golden, whom she and her husband, 27-year-old Lucky Blue Smith, welcomed at the end of September. She confessed,

“It’s taken me over a month to put my birth experience into words,” she expressed. “Not because the experience was traumatic or frightening, but because it feels like I haven’t fully returned to myself to articulate it all.”

Before bringing Fawnie into the world, Nara revealed that the couple had just settled into a new home.

“Just weeks before giving birth, we moved into our new house and began transforming it into our home. Amidst unpacking boxes, organizing hangers, and preparing simple meals, it was surreal to think I could be going into labor at any moment,” she shared with her followers.

Two days before going into labor, she asked her midwife for a membrane sweep after already being 2 centimeters dilated, hoping to help her body along. Because of the “prodromal labor” she experienced with daughter Whimsy Lou, she didn’t expect anything to happen quickly.

While out running errands the night before her birthday, Nara said she felt a contraction that was “intense.”

“Intuitively I knew I was going into labor but didn’t want to fully acknowledge it. I started timing them and slowly made my way home. The drive back to the house felt like hours and with every deep breath I took, I felt realization washing over me.”

Not wanting to worry her husband just yet, she made dinner and tried to move calmly through the evening. But when the contractions grew stronger, she told Lucky. Seeing “how tense” she was, he “grabbed my hand and ran me a shower.”

By 10:30 p.m., she said her contractions shifted into “the urge to push.” She dropped to her knees beside their bed, and Lucky knew it was time to call their midwife.

In the days following their daughter’s birth, the couple introduced her simply, sharing, “She’s here! Welcome to the world little angel.”

Nara and Lucky did not immediately reveal her name, though later confirmed it publicly.

Fawnie joins siblings Rumble Honey, 5, Slim Easy, 3, and Whimsy Lou, 18 months. Lucky is also father to daughter Gravity from a previous relationship.
