Rumors have swirled around Ben Affleck’s love life since his split from Jennifer Lopez. Lopez and Affleck were married from 2022 to early 2025, and they officially split in the summer of 2024. While Bennifer fans were excited to see the couple give love another chance, they couldn’t make their romance work. Now, they’ve gone their separate ways with no bad blood between them. Affleck still maintains a close relationship with his first wife, Jennifer Garner, but his friendship with Lopez has seemingly gone by the wayside.
So, is Affleck interested in another Hollywood actor? A source told DailyMail.com that he’s “admired” Angelina Jolie and finds her physically attractive.
“Ben said that he always thought that she was very hot and has admired how she has navigated her career; he has called her smart,” the source alleged. “He also thinks it’s pretty cool that she has directed films too, something he has done many times with The Town and Argo. They would certainly have a lot to talk about over dinner.”
Jolie was famously linked to Brad Pitt. The couple met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005 and dated years later. They finally tied the knot in 2014, but Jolie filed for divorce in 2016. The couple endured an eight-year legal battle and finalized their divorce in December 2024.
Ben Affleck is reportedly ‘casually dating’ after his divorce
Only time will tell whether Ben Affleck hopes to pursue a romance with Angelina Jolie. A source told People in February 2025 that Affleck was “casually dating” after he and Jennifer Lopez finalized their divorce.
“This doesn’t seem to be a focus though,” the source added, noting that Affleck stayed “very focused on work” above all else. “If he’s not filming, he spends long days at his office,” the insider noted.
The insider also mentioned how Affleck spends ample time with his first ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and the couple’s three kids. Affleck and Garner’s relationship has been under the microscope since Affleck’s split from Lopez. The media speculated that Affleck had residual feelings for his ex-wife. However, he seemed to squash the theory while speaking to GQ.
“And I’m really lucky that I have a really good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids’ mom, who’s wonderful and great and we work together well,” he said in March 2025.

Angelina Jolie hasn’t spoken publicly about her dating life, as she’s focused on her six kids and career. As of April 2025, she doesn’t appear to be dating anyone. However, rumors swirled around her and British rapper Akala in late 2024.
Akala and Jolie were spotted together in London in 2024, and some sources claimed the actor and rapper had been secretly seeing each other for up to a year. However, another source told People that this wasn’t the case. Jolie remained “close friends with Akala and his partner,” as “they all work well together.”
“Angelina remains focused on her family and is not dating at this time,” the source added.
