Unfazed. That’s how Jennifer Lopez reportedly reacted to the recent photos of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner cozying up together at a family celebration. The Unstoppable star, whose marriage to Affleck officially ended in early 2025, thought the images of her former husband and his ex-wife were “nothing.” 

The Affleck, Garner photos were ‘nothing’ to Jennifer Lopez

Seeing her ex with his arm around his ex didn’t faze Lopez. The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer, whose divorce became final in January 2025, reportedly thought “nothing” of him having his arm around Garner in paparazzi photos from their son Samuel’s birthday party at a California paintball park. 

The photos were “nothing” to J. Lo, a source told People, noting she “isn’t bothered” by the pictures “at all.” Furthermore, the 55-year-old “doesn’t feel betrayed.” 

Lopez and Affleck got married in 2022 after rekindling their romance from decades earlier. (The OG “Bennifer” era ended in 2003 when the pair called off their engagement and impending nuptials.)

“Jennifer Garner knows what it is and knows what it is not. And people are reading into it in a way to create drama where there is none,” the source continued. The star of The Last Thing He Told Me has the insider claimed, a good rapport with both her ex-husband and J. Lo. 

“I think the two Jens are great admirers of the other, and I think they’re all co-parenting. There is no animosity. They are friendly,” the insider said. “We’re always pitting women against women. In this case, it’s just not the truth.” 

As for Affleck and Garner, “They have been on good terms for a while now and seem to enjoy chatting and hanging out. Most of the time, the kids are around too.” The actors share three children: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13. 

The Accountant 2 star, they added, “usually acts happy around” his ex-wife of 10 years. “She doesn’t seem to mind. She seems to enjoy spending time with Ben.” 

John Miller didn’t react the same way to the photos 

Garner’s boyfriend, John Miller, wasn’t unbothered by the photos like J. Lo. Shortly after the images of Affleck and Garner surfaced, the CaliGroup CEO reportedly issued an ultimatum. “He doesn’t want to see anything like that again,” a source told Page Six, “or he has no choice but to walk away.”

Miller and Garner were first linked romantically in late 2018 shortly after the 13 Going on 30’s divorce from Affleck became final. They’ve been on, for the most part, ever since, breaking up in 2019 before getting back together in 2021.

In the wake of Miller’s reported ultimatum, a source refuted that he ever gave her one, telling Life & Style that not only did she “feel badly about it and totally understood his reaction,” but that “he didn’t give Jen an ultimatum or tell her how to interact with her ex.” The “bottom line,” they added, is that “John and Jen are just fine. They’re together and happy.”
