The 51 crew deals with the fallout from Pascal’s arrest in the ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 13 finale.
The first responders at Firehouse 51 are signing off. Chicago Fire Season 13 comes to an end on May 21. But One Chicago fans shouldn’t worry. The Windy City-set drama will return this fall, along with its sibling shows Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med.
‘Chicago Fire’ Season 13 finale airs May 21
The Chicago Fire Season 13 finale airs Wednesday, May 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. The episode streams the next day on Peacock.

In the second-to-last episode of Chicago Fire’s 13th season, new chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) was arrested for the arrested murder of Robert Franklin, the man suspected of killing Pascal’s wife. The chief’s situation could jeopardize the careers of other people at 51.
“If Pascal goes down, you’re going with him,” a man tells Severide in the finale teaser (via YouTube).
The 2025 Chicago Fire finale will also be a goodbye for two characters: Darren Ritter (Daniel Kyri) and Sam Carver (Jake Lockett). Neither Kyri nor Lockett will return as series regulars next season, though there’s a chance fans will see them again in smaller roles.
“We don’t have plans yet. We haven’t started the room for [season] 14, but we love these actors, we love these characters, and we’d love to play with them more and give them big exits and maybe have them around more than you expect for at least part of the season,” showrunner Andrea Newman told TV Insider.
What to expect from the ‘Chicago P.D.’ and ‘Chicago Med’ finales
Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med will also take a bow on Wednesday night.
The Chicago P.D. Season 12 finale is titled “Vows.” In the episode, Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) are on the verge of tying the knot when an off-book investigation forces them to consider postponing their big day.
In the Chicago Med Season 12 finale, “…Don’t You Cry” sees Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) tasked with enforcing difficult cuts to hospital personnel. Meanwhile, Charles’ (Oliver Platt) daughter is hospitalized after a car accident and a transplant patient makes a life-changing decision.
The Chicago P.D. finale airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Chicago Med airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Both episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
All three One Chicago shows have been renewed for the 2025-26 season. Chicago Med Season 11, Chicago Fire Season 14, and Chicago P.D. Season 13 premiere this fall on NBC.
