As Survivor fans gear up for the show’s milestone Season 50, series alum Elisabeth Hasselbeck has addressed whether or not she will be back.

According to People, Hasselbeck — who placed fourth on the reality competition series’ sophomore season while competing under her maiden name Elisabeth Filarski — is “not doing doing Survivor,” as she told her Instagram followers on her story this past weekend.

“That is funny though. I’m not doing that. I’m gonna be back there with, like, snacks instead,” she teased, as she showed viewers her backyard. “I’ll be gardening … and working on some fun projects which I’ll tell you about, but it does not include Fiji or Survivor.”

This arrives amid speculation that the Survivor: The Australian Outback alum would return for Season 50. As previously announced by host and EP Jeff Probst in February, Season 50 is “In the Hands of the Fans,” as fans were granted the opportunity to vote on several aspects of the next installment, which is slated to air next year. The Survivor 50 cast will consist of former contestants across the show’s previous 49 seasons.

While the Season 50 cast is being announced on Wednesday on CBS Mornings, the show’s Instagram account has teased some of the casting selections, including returning castaways from Survivor 48, Survivor: Cook Islands (Season 13), Survivor: David vs. Goliath (Season 37), Survivor: Borneo (Season 1), and Survivor: 42.

Meanwhile Hasselbeck, who was previously a member of The View‘s Hot Topics Table, recently published the children’s book God’s Masterpiece: An Adventure in Discovering Your Worth.

Prior to Season 50, Survivor 49 is slated to air this fall on CBS, and stream live on Paramount+.
