Soulja Boy has fans scratching their heads after a recent social media post where he declared his love for his daughter.

The rapper initially tweeted, “I love my daughter so much. She all I care abt fr.” However, he later edited the message to read, “I love my daughter so much she’s the best.”

The internet wasted no time reacting to the unexpected statement:

“I thought you had a son too?”

“When u had a daughter?”

“Is this his biological daughter? & I thought he only had a son?”

Many fans were unaware that Soulja Boy had a daughter, and the revelation sparked speculation about her mother. Reports suggest that the child’s mother is a woman named Lindsay Reid.

Last year, Lindsay Reid took to social media to claim that Soulja Boy fathered her daughter but had allegedly refused to be involved in the child’s life—either physically or financially. In a TikTok video, Reid detailed how she informed the rapper of her pregnancy in January of the previous year, but he  allegedly never stepped up.

She claimed that she attempted to handle the matter privately, even suggesting they reach a financial arrangement outside of court. However, she later took legal action for child support.

Following Reid’s accusations, Soulja Boy wasted no time responding. The Crank That rapper took to social media to post legal documents that, according to him, proved the child support case was closed. Additionally, he maintained that the child was not his and warned Reid, along with blogs covering the story, of potential legal consequences.

“You want to play on this internet,” he said in a video response. “Now I’m about to sue you and every goddamn blog that posted this sht for defamation of character.”*

As far as the public was aware, Soulja Boy had one child—his son, KeAndre, also known as Lil Soulja. He and his girlfriend, Jackie Martinez, welcomed their son in September 2022. The rapper first announced his impending fatherhood in March 2022 with a gender reveal video, sharing his excitement about becoming a father to a baby boy.

At the time, he wrote, “We are blessed with a baby boy. Can’t wait to see you, baby Draco. THANK YOU GOD. SUCH A BLESSING. DEAR SON, I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER.”
