Saturday Night Live may be on a break, but that hasn’t stopped the beloved show from surprising fans with fresh content.

On March 21, Saturday Night Live UK premiered, and shortly after, it became available for U.S. audiences to stream on Peacock. Adding to the excitement, the series launched a new YouTube show titled The Rundown. This show features a mix of current and former SNL cast members who curate iconic sketches to assemble an all-star SNL episode.

In the inaugural episode of The Rundown, Colin Jost chose the memorable Katie Couric and Sarah Palin interview (performed by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey) from Season 34 for the cold open. In the following episode, Dana Carvey selected his popular Wayne’s World/Aerosmith sketch from Season 15.

Those are fantastic selections, but if it were up to me, I’d pick Steve Martin’s timeless “Not Gonna Phone It In Tonight” musical number for a cold open. As for the first sketch, I’d lean towards the classic “Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer” or the unforgettable “Van Down By The River.”
