Fans do have an early look at what is ahead. NBC has announced the hosts and musical guests for the season’s first four episodes, setting the stage for SNL‘s return.

NBA champion Jalen Brunson will make his SNL hosting debut in the season premiere, while KATSEYE will appear as the musical guest.
The series already has the rest of its early-season schedule lined up as well.
Dakota Johnson is set to return as host on October 3, with Shane Gillis following on October 10. After a two-week hiatus, the show will come back on Halloween, October 31, when Superman star Inde Navarrette makes her hosting debut.

Brunson is the only first-time host in the season premiere lineup, while Johnson and Gillis are both returning for their third hosting appearances. Navarrette will make her debut when SNL returns for its Halloween episode.
The musical guests are a pretty strong mix, too. KATSEYE and Turnstile will make their SNL debuts, while Rosalía and Gracie Abrams are both returning to the show.
So, if you’re already counting down to the first new episode, September 26 is the date to circle.

There is some fresh SNL action tonight — just not from the American version.
Saturday Night Live UK is back for Season 2 tonight, September 12, across the pond. Jeff Goldblum is kicking off the new season as host, with Irish singer-songwriter CMAT serving as musical guest. The episode airs at 10 p.m. on Sky and is also available through NOW in the U.K.
And U.S. viewers won’t have to wait too long to get in on the fun. Peacock will stream the Jeff Goldblum-hosted SNL UK premiere on Sunday, September 13, at 1:01 p.m. ET.
Goldblum is no stranger to Studio 8H, either. The actor previously hosted the American SNL twice, in 1993 and 1998, before crossing the pond for the British version’s Season 2 premiere.
