After his recent split from Olivia Wilde, fans assumed Harry Styles was once again single — much to their excitement. But some sources have linked him with an Australian fashion model and influencer named Yan Yan Chan, who the singer allegedly began dating after sliding into her DMs last month.
According to The Tab, the relationship hasn’t been confirmed and is still in the “rumor” stage, but there’s already been enough chatter about the pair to make worldwide headlines.
Who is Yan Yan Chan?
Chan was born in Hong Kong and later moved to Sydney, Australia, where she reportedly kicked off her career as a fashion blogger, influencer and model at the age of 16.
Chan commands an impressive following of more than 219,000 on Instagram and over 16,000 on TikTok, which she reportedly grew organically. And while that may pale in comparison to Styles’ multi-million followers and worldwide fame, we’re willing to bet that a relationship with Styles would propel her to celeb status pretty quickly.
How do Yan Yan Chan and Harry Styles know each other?
While Styles and Chan have reportedly followed each other on social media since 2020, the rumored couple didn’t begin hanging out until recently. According to one report, they were recently spotted at Byron Bay, a coastal town in Southern Australia, while Styles was in the country for his Love On Tour.
“They’ve apparently known each other for a while,” a source told Woman’s Day. “[Harry] loves keeping good company while he’s away from home,” they added, and Chan “by all accounts is a lot of fun.”
According to the same source, Chan apparently “knows show business and how it works.” But perhaps most importantly, she knows “how to be discreet,” which may mean we won’t see the rumored couple out and about anytime soon.
“She was in one of the gold-class corporate boxes with all her influencer mates for his final Sydney concert,” the insider alleged. “And while Harry’s closest knows exactly who she is, Yan Yan is the type of person who would never kiss and tell!”
