Are we happy that Severance is back? Absolutely. Are we excited that ABC’s High Potential and Abbott Elementary have returned with new episodes? You know it. But that doesn’t dim the sting of missing our newest small-screen obsession: Landman.

Taylor Sheridan’s newest series is a runaway hit, becoming the most-watched Paramount+ original of all time. In your face, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies! One of the buzziest moments from the show was Jerry Jones’ viral cameo from Episode 9. Jon Hamm talked about the scene during his recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“It was a lot of takes. It was a lot of work, and it was fun,” Hamm said. “Jerry is a man who has led quite a life, as he told in the story there. I think that was the directive for him: Basically, tell your story and we’ll make it resonate, and that’s what happened. It was a very cool way to go about getting that story out there.”

The first season of Landman is in the books. But what about Season 2? Will Tommy and company be back for round two? Here’s everything we know.

The first season consists of ten episodes.

Is There A New Episode of Landman This Week?

Nope. The season finale (“The Crumbs of Hope”) premiered Sunday, January 12 on Paramount+.

Will There Be a Landman Season 2?

The show has yet to receive an official renewal, but we expect Landman to be back for a second season. The series was watched by 14.9 million households in its first four weeks, making Landman the most-watched Paramount+ original of all time. The series has earned critical acclaim too, currently boasting a 76% Tomatometer score.

Landman star Demi Moore seemingly confirmed a second season while promoting The Substance in May 2024.

“I’ve already completed the first season and I’m excited for us to start the second, which will be at the beginning of next year,” Moore said during a talk at the American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival.

Star Billy Bob Thornton said something similar to Entertainment Weekly in August 2024.

“I understand that if we’re going to do that, Season 2, that it’s going to be sometime around February, March, somewhere in there,” Thornton said.

Again, we don’t have any official confirmation, but we strongly believe that Landman will be back for a second season.
