Hulu has experienced a whirlwind of activity this month.
Unexpectedly, a special episode of The Bear, titled Gary, crafted by and featuring the talented Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Jon Bernthal, has made its way onto the platform. Additionally, the debut of Lisa Ann Walter’s stand-up special, It Was An Accident, has captured viewers’ attention. Those intrigued by Netflix’s documentary The Crash have also found themselves drawn to Hulu to catch the episode of Mean Girl Murders that delves into a shocking case (Season 2, Episode 7).
Yet, the most talked-about release on Hulu is undoubtedly Bruce Miller’s dystopian drama, The Testaments.
Adapted from Margaret Atwood’s acclaimed novel, this much-anticipated follow-up to The Handmaid’s Tale tells a coming-of-age tale. It centers on two teenagers, portrayed by Chase Infiniti and Lucy Halliday, as they “navigate the gilded halls of Aunt Lydia’s elite preparatory school for future wives,” a place where strict obedience is harshly enforced.
The series has been greeted with enthusiastic acclaim from both critics and audiences, earning impressive scores of 87% and 76%, respectively, on Rotten Tomatoes.

Will There Be A Season 2 of The Testaments?
Oh, you bet. They can’t leave us hanging after THAT finale. On May 20, Hulu announced that The Testaments had been renewed for a second season.
The series experienced strong growth throughout the season, with the fourth episode, per Deadline, seeing a 20% increase in viewership compared to the premiere after one day of streaming.
When Will The Testaments Season 2 Be on Hulu?
There’s no official release date, but the first three seasons of The Handmaid’s Tale had about a year break in between seasons. We expect a similar timetable for The Testaments, with our best guess being the summer of 2027.
