The 2024-2025 network TV season has been filled with winners. NBC’s new comedy St. Denis Medical is an absolute blast, earning rave reviews and an impressive 89% Tomatometer score; CBS scored a hit with its new Kathy Bates-led Matlock; and ABC’s addicting medical drama Doctor Odyssey is a delirious joyride of small-screen escapism.

And we didn’t even mention ABC’s freshman phenom High Potential!

Led by It’s Always Sunny standout Kaitlin Olson, the series centers on Morgan (Olson), a single mom whose exceptional mind and unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unlikely partnership with a seasoned detective (Daniel Sunjata). The first half of the season performed well for ABC, but the ratings dramatically increased when the show returned from its holiday hiatus with new episodes in January.

The season finale airs Tuesday, February 11 on ABC, but what about a second season? Will High Potential be back for Season 2? Here’s everything you need to know.

The season finale of High Potential airs tonight (February 11) from 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET on ABC.

Will There Be a High Potential Season 2?

Yes! On January 21, ABC announced they renewed High Potential for a second season. Per Deadline, “the size of High Potential‘s Season 2 order is TBD but is expected to be larger than Season 1.”

No official release date has been announced, but we expect the second season to debut on ABC in September 2025.
