Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has opened up about her past relationship choices, admitting she made mistakes by dating men who weren’t more financially stable than her.

The ‘Koroba’ singer, during a candid chat with media personality Zeze Mills, said she’s ready to correct those mistakes by choosing partners who are wealthier.

“I used to make mistake dating down saying I don’t care if you’re not making money, it’s just love. But now, I think I need someone that just has money. I think I’m at that point now. Love is really nice but you can judge me for wanting a wealthier person if you want,” she said.

She added, “I want to try that [dating someone who’s wealthier], I have tried the other way for so many years. Let me try what it’s like dating a wealthy man.”

Tiwa Savage was previously married to her former manager, Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Teebillz. The marriage, which began in 2013, ended in 2018 after efforts to mend the relationship failed. They have a son together named Jamil.
