Jack Grealish appears set to depart Manchester City this summer, with Newcastle United expressing interest in a potential move, though only on loan terms, according to The Sun.

The 29-year-old endured a disappointing 2024/25 campaign, recording just one goal and one assist in the Premier League.

He was also left out of the FA Cup final squad, where City suffered a shock defeat to Crystal Palace.

Newcastle are reportedly open to bringing Grealish to St. James’ Park, offering him a route back to regular football and a place in their Champions League campaign next season.

However, the Magpies are unwilling to commit to a permanent transfer due to Grealish’s high wages and the two years remaining on his current deal with City.

Any loan arrangement would likely require City to subsidize a significant portion of his £300,000-per-week salary.

Despite no official confirmation, Grealish is not expected to be named in City’s squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

Meanwhile, with uncertainty surrounding the future of Anthony Gordon, Newcastle may view Grealish as a suitable replacement option on the flanks.
