James Corden, known for his prominence in Hollywood and connections with global celebrities, finds himself in an unexpected predicament with his local council regarding his trash bins.
The actor, famed for his role in Gavin & Stacey, has installed paving slabs outside his £11.5 million mansion in North London to create a space for his waste containers.
However, this move has sparked backlash from neighbors and conservation groups who criticized the installation as ‘unsightly’ and harmful to the area’s historic charm.
While Corden’s representatives defended the changes as minor landscaping, Camden Council took the side of the dissenters, demanding that he remove the modifications by January 6 or face the possibility of legal action through a formal enforcement notice.
A detailed seven-page report from the council instructed Corden to dismantle the hard landscaping completely and repair any damage incurred during the process.
Even his attempt to placate critics by planting four new trees fell flat – locals complained they’re too close together to thrive, while two mature acer trees are now at risk due to the paving.

These are not the only stones causing Corden grief. Campaigners in Jersey are demanding the return of a 5,000-year-old stone circle from his Oxfordshire estate.
The ancient druid temple was given to the home’s former owner in 1788, but the Channel Island wants them back.
Corden has said he’d be happy to help but UK heritage bosses don’t want them moved.
Hugh Bonneville’s brush with Bond was not as suave as he hoped.
The actor signed on to Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997 dreaming of ‘three weeks in Thailand,’ only to end up spending ‘two days in Portsmouth’ as he filmed his small role as a naval officer.

Emma’s taking a punt on pal Malala
Next time you’re in Oxford, keep an eye on the River Cherwell, as you might spot Emma Watson and Malala Yousafzai, punting past.
The pair, who both came to prominence as schoolgirls, have been friends since meeting in 2015 and plan to take to the water together.
‘I’ve never been in a boat with Malala,’ said Harry Potter star Emma. ‘But that’s something we should do… I’m actually a mean punter.’
‘We’ve met in Oxford many times,’ added the Nobel winner. ‘We just love the cafes.’
Well, if it floats their boat…
As rumours swirl that Gary Lineker may be heading to Netflix, I can reveal the former BBC golden boy was spotted enjoying a long, boozy lunch with Sky News presenter, Yalda Hakim.
The pair were locked in conversation for more than four hours at Town Restaurant in Central London, which begs the question: Was Yalda trying to lure him over to Sky instead?
With the former Match of The Day host’s possible new job presenting coverage of the 2027 women’s World Cup for streaming giant Netflix still up in the air, Gary could be vying for a surprise transfer window twist. Watch this space!

Jonah Freud, Lily’s new flame and nephew of late painter Lucian, and Oli Green, Sienna’s long-term love, ‘have been thick as thieves since their days at St Paul’s,’ I’m told.
‘You’ll spot them with their arty crowd at whichever West London haunt is hot that week.’
