Jamie Cullum was recently seen making his way to Newcastle in preparation for the 2025 Mercury Music Awards scheduled for Thursday.
The 46-year-old jazz-pop artist arrived in the northern city, while his wife, Sophie Dahl, was enjoying a glamorous evening in London the night before.
Jamie looked effortlessly stylish, sporting a black jacket over a grey shirt paired with black jeans, and finished his attire with black sneakers.
He was seen with a suitcase and a backpack, arriving alongside industry figures such as Will Hodgkinson, Sophie Williams, Phil Alexander, and Jack Howells, all set to attend the much-anticipated event.

The jazz-pop singer, 46, touched down in the northern city while his wife, Sophie Dahl, enjoyed a glamorous night out in London the evening before
She teamed it with black tights and a pair of leopard print boots to complete her chic ensemble.
Jamie and Sophie rarely make public appearances together, with the last time they were spotted together at the launch of ‘Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop’ in 2024.
In 2021, Jamie revealed to Red the secret to keeping his 10-year marriage to the supermodel going strong.
He said: ‘Loving her has challenged my perceptions about what it means to live, love and think’.
Jamie also spoke about the importance of ‘growing to meet each other’ in a long-term relationship.
‘We were both really big readers, and we both loved cooking for our friends; she still had all the same friends from school and I still had mine,’ he said.
‘She is also a straight talker, and I prefer people like that. I guess the definition of love is when you are able to reveal both your best and worst sides, and that person still loves you.’
The pair now share two daughters; Lyra, 14, and Margot, 12.

Jamie previously spoke about his romance with Sophie, sharing on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs in 2012 that he didn’t think for one second that she would be ‘interested in him’.
The jazz musician and singer revealed that the two met when he accompanied her on piano at a charity event where she was singing.
He said: ‘I didn’t entertain for one second that she would be interested in me.
‘I assumed that everyone who met her would fall in love with her so I didn’t necessarily think it would be my place, so I played it pretty cool.
‘She was living in New York and she had a boyfriend.
‘Six to eight months later she moved back to England and obviously it became more after that.’
Jamie also spoke about their height difference, he is 5ft 4in and she is 5ft 11in, he joked: ‘Most people think I am about 12 years old. I always looked really young.
‘When I was at school there was an announcement at assembly that said, “Girls in the later classes must not pick up Jamie Cullum and carry him around”.
