It sounds like even more drama happened on The White Lotus than viewers may think.

Season 3 star Jason Isaacs teased during a recent interview on SiriusXM’s The Happy Hour show that there was some possible drama behind the scenes when the cast filmed on location in Thailand.

Isaacs said it felt like the cast and crew “were in a little pressure cooker together” while filming.

“Like anywhere you go for the summer, there’s friendships, there’s romances, there’s arguments, there’s cliques that form and break and reform and stuff like that,” he said.

The actor also dispelled the online rumors proliferating online about certain cast members, though he did not name any names.

“I’m careful. I’m not stupid. I look at the Internet. I only read every single word written about The White Lotus and about everybody in it,” he said, later adding, “Nobody has the slightest clue what they’re talking about.”

Isaacs did not mince his words when he said regarding the rumored drama, “First of all, it’s none of your business.”

After adding that the experience certainly “wasn’t a holiday,” he said, “It was insanely hot and there’s all the normal social tensions you get anywhere. But for all of you [that] think you’ve cracked it by something you think someone has posted or is in a photo or not, you’re just so far from the truth, believe me.”

Isaacs starred in Season 3 as Timothy Ratliff, the patriarch of a family of five who contemplates committing a murder-suicide after learning he could be going to prison and losing the family fortune when they return to the United States from vacation.

Isaacs’ comments come amid growing rumors of a possible falling out between White Lotus co-stars Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins, who played a troubled and ill-fated couple in Season 3. Goggins posted several photos with Wood on set after the finale premiered, writing, “Thank you Aimee Lou for being my partner… a journey I will never forget,” although internet sleuths claim the two have unfollowed each other on Instagram.

This isn’t the first time the star has hinted at tension behind the scenes. Isaacs previously described The White Lotus Season 3 as “a cross between summer camp and Lord of the Flies but in a gilded cage.”

“They say in the show, ‘What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand,’ but there’s an off-screen White Lotus as well, with fewer deaths but just as much drama,” he told Vulture.

The White Lotus Seasons 1-3 are now streaming in full on Max.
