Jennifer Aniston is wasting no time building her dream private retreat in Bel Air, upgrading the brand new $7.5 million home she recently snapped up next door to her long-standing $21 million mansion, the Daily Mail can reveal.
The Friends star, 56, bought the five-bedroom, five-bath property earlier this year and is already making renovations rather than immediately settling in with her new boyfriend Jim Curtis.
Exclusive aerial images by the Daily Mail show the pool – which was recently remodeled by the former owners – has been drained, stripped of its tiles and is now being completely filled in.
The surrounding grass and landscaping have also been torn out, and the eco-friendly solar panels, which once covered most of the roof, have been removed.
Building plans obtained by the Daily Mail suggest Aniston is eyeing up the new place as a guesthouse or an annex to her existing 8,500-square-foot property nearby, and creating an enormous compound.
Permits filed with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety reveal she’s planning to remodel three bathrooms and the kitchen.

The renovations – which are being conducted by Steadfast General Contractors – signal that she’s ditching the current French Riviera-style interiors with dark mahogany units and cupboards for a more modern aesthetic.
The 4,853-square-foot pad offers plenty of space for additional developments and potential upgrades, but it’s likely the TV star is prioritizing safety and privacy.
Aniston suffered a terrifying security scare in May after a stalker rammed the front gates at her original Bel Air home.
A source previously told the Daily Mail that the incident, which apparently occurred while she was in the home, left her ‘extremely shaken up.’
In an August interview with Vanity Fair, the star noted that the security detail outside of her home was a ‘necessity,’ and ‘not glamorous.’
At the time, the Daily Mail was the first to reveal in June that she planned to make her $15 million Montecito house – which she bought from Oprah Winfrey in September 2022 – her main base in the summers.

Now that she has purchased the nearby home, Aniston could connect the two properties – or even have beau Curtis, 49, move in

The 4,320-square-foot home in the coastal town has four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms with a pool and guest house, which had been under renovation until June.
‘Jen is happy to have a safe place to run to where she can let her hair down,’ an insider said at the time.
‘Though she loves Los Angeles because it is where she grew up, she is craving more of a country setting these days away from the noise.’
With her latest purchase, however, experts suggest the addition to her real estate portfolio will give her more privacy in LA.
Doug Perry, a strategic financing advisor at HouseCashin said: ‘Sounds like this is more of an acquisition to get additional land so she can have a larger perimeter around her home.
‘Although $7.25 million is a heck of a lot on a national level to buy the property next door, in her neighborhood this is a bargain.

It’s unclear if the new pad is a merely an investment property, but building permits obtained by the Daily Mail suggest Aniston may be creating her own private compound

The TV star’s home next door has been her main residence since she purchased it in 2011
‘When buying an investment property the last thing you want is to live next door to the tenant.
‘They would be bugging you all the time. This purchase clearly isn’t about acquiring an investment. This is about expanding the boundaries of her current home.’
Aniston could, in theory, connect the two neighboring properties – or even have beau Curtis, 49, move in.
The hypnotherapist, who walks with a cane due to lesions on his spinal cord, has been joined at the hip to The Morning Show star since they met earlier this year.
They vacationed together in Majorca in July and have been spotted on numerous dinner dates. Now, in an emotional letter to his followers he has spoken of his newfound love.
‘I found love again, but only after I learned how to align with love from the inside out,’ he wrote.

The pair were spotted in NYC last month
‘Not long ago, I was in a very different place than I am today,’ he added. ‘I was in pain, physically and emotionally. An unhealthy relationship had left me broken-hearted and questioning my worth.
‘Maybe you’ve been there too – those nights when anxiety and fear keep you awake, when you can’t stop thinking or when you wake up in the morning with dread.
‘I felt alone, stuck and uncertain about what the future could possibly hold.’
He went on to describe overcoming his struggles through the hypnotherapy methods he now teaches, saying: ‘I reprogrammed my subconscious, which gave me confidence I didn’t even know I had.
‘I let go of the belief that I was broken and started to feel whole again. If I could create that transformation from where I was, you can too. And I’ll guide you every step of the way.’
He signed off: ‘With purpose and belief in you, Jim Curtis.’
He also posted photos of their three dogs, with Aniston’s Labrador Lord Chesterfield and schnauzer Clyde next to Curtis’s rescue dog Odie, which he has called ‘the world’s cutest dog.’
The pair were said to have ‘bonded’ over their shared love of their rescue dogs, an insider previously told the Daily Mail.
‘Instead of dating around he rescued Odie which gave him so much love he didn’t have to run around with random women, he had been single for a while, so when he met Jennifer, he had a clean slate,’ a source said.
