Jennifer Aydin and Bill Aydin have tried to appear as a well-rounded and loving couple during their time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. That doesn’t mean their relationship has been perfect. The opposite is true. Their portrayal has always seemed a bit over the top, leading Bravo fans to grow skeptical of their commitment to one another. Occasionally, rumors of an impending divorce pop up. That’s what happened recently, but this time, Jennifer Aydin isn’t staying quiet. She took to social media to slam the rumors as “fake news,” insisting she finds the notion that she filed for divorce laughable.
Jennifer Aydin slams divorce rumors as ‘fake news’
Jennifer Aytdin wants everyone to know she’s happy and secure in her marriage. Divorce, apparently, isn’t on the table, regardless of the headlines. Over the weekend, she took to Instagram to shoot down rumors that she had filed for divorce from Bill Aydin after more than two decades of marriage.
In an Instagram post on June 14, Aydin shared a screenshot of a Facebook post that claimed she had filed for divorce after her husband took his mistress on vacation. She included a “Fake News” gif. In her caption, she included a laughing emoji and said she’d be showing Bill Aydin. Fans were quick to defend her in the comments, insisting such a story was preposterous, but the Aydins have weathered an affair in the past.
Bill Aydin has cheated on his wife before
In her social media post, Jennifer Aydin suggested that both the divorce rumors and the potential cheating scandal were unimaginable. While the former might be true, the latter isn’t. The Aydins have already weathered one cheating scandal.
Bill Aydin had an extramarital affair way back in 2012 while his wife was pregnant with their fourth child. Jennifer uncovered the affair after luxury charges led her to check her husband’s phone. She learned he carried on the affair with a pharmaceutical sales rep through a text exchange. The affair eventually came to light on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, despite her attempts to never speak of it. Margaret Josephs publicly discussed the affair during Season 12’s premiere at Teresa Giudice’s pool party. Aydin later said filming the season was “torture.”
Despite the drama, Jennifer Aydin has said nothing but nice things about her plastic surgeon husband. In 2023, she even told People that she had never once considered divorce.
