And Miller might feel hesitant about Garner’s close friendship with Affleck. However, an insider now says Garner has plans to marry Miller in 2025. And Ben Affleck will receive an invite.
Jennifer Garner and John Miller are planning to get married in 2025, a source says
Jennifer Garner and John Miller are still going strong in 2025. The couple started dating the same year that Garner and Ben Affleck finalized their split. While Garner and Miller spent a few years on and off as partners, they now seem to have solidified their romance.
So, will Garner and Miller take the next step in their relationship and tie the knot? An insider told Life & Style in February 2025 that the couple is moving forward with wedding plans. “John has proven, without a doubt, that he’s willing to stand by Jen through anything,” the source said. “She’s saying the wedding will be held this summer.”
The insider added that Garner and Miller consider themselves “formally engaged,” and “everyone who needs to know has been aware of their intention to tie the knot.” While the couple’s friends and family know their intentions, it’s now just “a question of when.”
The source added that the couple wants a “very small” wedding. Affleck, as well as his and Garner’s three kids, will allegedly receive invites to the ceremony, as well as Miller’s two kids. “Other than that, it will be a few family members and a handful of pals,” the source continued.
Another source alleged that Jennifer Garner ‘wants a big wedding in a dream location’
Jennifer Garner spent much of 2024 helping Ben Affleck through his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. Now, Garner is reportedly focusing on herself. An insider told In Touch Weekly in October 2024 that Garner went wedding gown shopping while in Paris and was making wedding plans with John Miller.
“Jennifer is finally putting the focus back on herself, and everyone is happy to see it,” the insider alleged. “She’ll never be a diva, but she deserves to be the center of attention after putting Ben first for so long, and this shopping trip in Paris was the perfect reward.”
The source added that Garner and Miller have taken numerous trips to Europe. “Paris is one of their favorite escapes, and they’ve decided getting married there this coming spring is something they want to do,” the source continued. “This time around, she wants a big wedding in a dream location, and John is all for it.”

Jennifer Garner did not go to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s wedding. After tying the knot in Las Vegas, Affleck and Lopez brought their friends and family together for a wedding on Affleck’s 87-acre Georgia estate in August 2022. Guests included Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, director Kevin Smith and his wife, Jennifer, Clerks actor Jason Mewes and his wife, Jordan Monsanto, and Hollywood talent agent Patrick Whitesell and his wife, model Pia Miller.
Garner celebrated her 50th birthday that year with a “wedding” for herself. “I basically had a wedding for myself,” she told Town & Country. “I was so shocked that I was doing it.” Her parents, sisters, nieces, and nephews attended.
So, will Garner invite Affleck to her wedding to John Miller? We’ll have to wait and see.
