Jennifer Garner enjoyed a stroll in Santa Monica with her 11-year-old son Samuel as she celebrated her 51st birthday on Monday.

The Alias alum shares Samuel and daughters Violet, 17, and Seraphina, 14, with her ex-husband Ben Affleck, 50.

The Elektra actress was dressed very casually in a pair of well-worn in jeans, a charcoal gray t-shirt she knotted in the front with a black jacket.

She talked on the phone as her son, wearing blue pants, a green polo shirt and bright pink high-top trainers walked by her side.

It’s a big week for Jennifer Garner. Not only is she celebrating her birthday but her latest series The Last Thing He Told Me, which she not only stars in but also produces alongside Reese Witherspoon, dropped its first two episodes on AppleTV+ over the weekend.

Jen also stopped by Drew Barrymore’s talk show on her birthday to promote her latest project.

The Never Been Kissed star, 48, greeted the birthday girl with a multi-colored balloons covering the set.

During the interview, the Yes Day actress told Drew that it was her portrayal of Dylan Sanders in Charlie’s Angels that inspired her performance as Sydney Bristow on Alias.

‘You had shown me a new way. You had shown me something that I was like, “Wait that’s possible? Get me in there, I want to do that.” So fun,’ she said of the role she played from 2001 to 2005.

Garner then spoke about how hard the schedule of the action drama series was.

She recalled: ‘Twenty-two episodes a year of every single lunch break I had somebody waiting for me to teach me a fight, teach me a language, to have a fitting…it was just so taxing, and it was also just heaven to do.’

Barrymore then changed the subject of conversation to the feature 13 Going on 30 and stated: ‘This movie means so much to me and my daughters, it meant so much to me when it came out and it means so much to us now.’

Garner then expressed that she previously had conversations with past castmates regarding the enduring quality of the movie.

‘I just knew that, we’ve talked about…how it kind of grows, because I think the kids who were thirteen when it came out are now thirty and god bless them,’ she said.

Although Barrymore surprised her guest with balloons and flowers for her birthday, she informed her that she had another trick up her sleeve.

The 50 First Dates actress said: ‘This surprise is very meaningful and it comes from your hometown of Charleston, West Virginia. From here on out April 17th will be known as Jennifer Garner Day in Charleston.’

Charleston’s mayor, Amy Goodwin, then made a special appearance to elaborate on the actress’ impact on her hometown, and the performer was also given the key to her hometown.

Barrymore also donated $25,000 to Save The Children during the episode in honor of Jen’s birthday.

And the new 51-year-old wowed on the red carpet at the premiere of her latest project last week in Los Angeles, and she brought someone special with her to share the big night.

Jennifer’s longtime beau, John Miller, quietly arrived at the theater to support her.

The couple have been linked together since 2018, but keep their relationship low key. They are rarely seen in public together.
