Jennifer Lopez might be ready to dive back into the dating scene post-Ben Affleck. An insider told In Touch Weekly that Lopez is “back out there mixing in the Hollywood scene” and wants to make a splash “for the rest of awards season.”

“She says she’s done moping around and crying over her divorce; she wants to have fun again,” the source continued. “Ultimately, she does see herself falling in love again, but that isn’t the immediate goal. More than anything, she wants to feel carefree again; she wants to embrace her independence.”

The source added that Lopez feels excited about “possibly meeting someone at one of these industry functions she has to go to for work.” And she’s dressing for the occasion. “She’s getting dressed up to possibly attract a new lover; it adds a thrill and is giving her motivation to look extra sexy,” they continued.

After Lopez’s recent split, she told Nikki Glaser with Interview Magazine how she needed the divorce as a reality check to move forward. “But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, ‘F***, that is exactly what I needed,’” she said. “‘Thank you, God. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times. I should have learned it two or three times ago. I get it. While Affleck retained a close friendship with his first ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, his relationship with Lopez likely won’t stay close. “You will likely not see them hanging out or having exes lunches,” the source alleged. “He will never be close to her like he is to Jennifer Garner.”
