Jennifer Lopez stonewalls Andy Cohen's question about her ex A-Rod's texting scandal with 'Southern Charm' star Madison LeCroy: "I'm done with that"

Jennifer Lopez has finally addressed the swirling rumors about her former fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, and his alleged connection to Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy.

During an appearance on the October 15 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Lopez participated in the segment “Plead the Fifth.” Host Andy Cohen put her on the spot, asking if Rodriguez’s supposed direct messages to LeCroy were the reason behind their broken engagement.

Lopez, after a moment of pause, responded, “Honestly, I have nothing more to say about my personal life. I feel like I’m done with that topic.”

The relationship between the pop icon and the former New York Yankees player began in 2017, leading to an engagement in 2019. However, things took a turn during Southern Charm‘s Season 7 reunion when Craig Conover accused LeCroy of being involved with an “ex-MLB player,” alleging she had traveled to Miami to meet him. Shortly afterward, Lopez and Rodriguez called off their engagement.

LeCroy has consistently stated that she never met Rodriguez in person, although she has admitted that he allegedly messaged her directly on social media.

In a May 2023 episode of Conover and Austen Kroll‘s Pillows and Beer podcast, LeCroy claimed that she received multiple Instagram DMs from Rodriguez. “The dude who’s dating [Jennifer Lopez] is not in my DMs right now,” she recalled thinking at the time, per Entertainment Tonight. Kroll alleged that Rodriguez was FaceTiming LeCroy “ad nauseam,” to the point where he would get “mad” if she didn’t answer the phone.

“I said, ‘If you’re looking for a side chick, which clearly he was, it wasn’t gonna be me,’” LeCroy said. “I’m wifey material.”

Shortly after her split from Rodriguez, Lopez reconnected with Ben Affleck, whom she dated in the early 2000s. They tied the knot in 2022, but, unfortunately, they went their separate ways two years later and finalized their divorce in early 2025.

LeCroy, for her part, is happily married to Brett Randle, whom she wed in 2022. The couple has since welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Teddi, in June 2025.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
