Jennifer Meyer is choosing to focus on the positive aspects of her divorce from Tobey Maguire.
The renowned jewelry designer, who was married to the former Spider-Man actor from 2007 until 2020, recently opened up about the challenges they faced during their 2016 separation, particularly while co-parenting their two children, Ruby, now 19, and Otis, 16.
Speaking on the Dec. 1 episode of the Inside Edit podcast, Meyer recalled, “Our daughter was around 10 years old at the time. Those were intense years, and it was crucial for us to stay connected. We also had a son who was 7. Raising children during such formative years is never easy.”
Now 48, Meyer, who recently announced her engagement to Geoffrey Ogunlesi in August 2024, expressed gratitude for the positive co-parenting relationship she shares with Tobey. She admitted, “I got lucky with how wonderful Tobey is,” but acknowledged that achieving this harmonious dynamic required effort.
“It wasn’t easy every day, and I’m sure Tobey would agree completely,” she added, “We definitely had to overcome some significant hurdles.” The journey, though challenging, has evidently led to a positive and constructive partnership focused on their children’s well-being.
