A new sensation is captivating the online world.
Jimothy, the raccoon from Seattle, has captured the internet’s attention after a video showing his quirky way of moving went viral.
The raccoon’s distinct look and gait can be attributed to a spinal deformity, which results in his short, rounded body paired with unusually long legs.
Jimothy became an internet darling after Instagram user Kiana Hall shared a video of his unique scampering, capturing the moment with the caption, “What am I looking at?”
Hall affectionately named the adorable raccoon Jimothy, explaining to Today in an interview on July 18, “He just seemed like a ‘Jimothy’ to me. There’s no other reason than when I saw him, he just looked like a ‘Jimothy.’”
Jimothy sightings have since continued around Seattle, with fans of the raccoon posting his whereabouts as he runs around the city, with one X user even sharing a video of a baby Jimothy walking around their friend’s backyard.
