Jodie Comer has shared a touching tribute to Everton fans as the club bid farewell to its iconic Goodison Park ground on Sunday.

After 133 years the Toffees are set to move to their brand new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock next season, and they certainly went out in style with a 2-0 victory over Southampton on Sunday.

Taking to Instagram ahead of their final match, Liverpudlian Jodie, 32, shared a sweet message for Everton supporters, while also revealing her unlikely link to the club.

Posting a snap of her dad James, she shared that he had worked at the club as a physiotherapist for 28 years.

Jodie captioned her post: ‘Thinking of everyone saying Thank You and Goodbye to GOODISON PARK today. Especially this Legend.

’28 years at the club and counting. I LOVE YOU DAD! @everton.’

The Killing Eve star has previously shared her love for Everton, and in 2024 she was asked by The Guardian whether she would rather win an Oscar or see Everton win the Premier League.

She replied: ‘The Oscar is considered the pinnacle of acting. You receive one of them… But I think I have to say winning the league, purely to see the joy and elation on my dad and my brother’s faces.’

The midday kick-off against Saints was always going to be a special occasion, with dozens of former Everton players invited back for the occasion and fans lining the streets to greet the team coach.

Everton came into Sunday’s game 13th in the table, while their opponents had long been relegated and sit last.

After 30 years without silverware, Everton hope to flourish in their new ground at Bramley-Moore dock.

The 52,888-seater location will be known as the Hill Dickinson Stadium in a multi-year naming rights deal that will secure the club a healthy sum of money.

Hill Dickinson is a commercial law firm spanning 11 offices which was founded in 1810.

With any fears of relegation now a distant memory thanks to the return of David Moyes as manager, Everton bid farewell to their ground with a stellar 2-0 victory, and will head to Newcastle for the final game of the season.

Elsewhere, Jodie is returning to the stage in 2026 with a sold-out UK tour of her one-woman show Prima Facie.

Written by Suzie Miller, Prima Facie follows Tessa has as she finds herself questioning the legal system she has prized for so-long.

The synopsis reads: ‘Tessa is a thoroughbred. A young, brilliant barrister who loves to win.

She has worked her way up from working class origins to be at the top of her game; prosecuting; cross examining and lighting up the shadows of doubt in any case.

‘An unexpected event forces her to confront the lines where the patriarchal power of the law, burden of proof and morals diverge.’

Speaking ahead of the tour, Jodie previously said: ‘It is a huge privilege to return to Prima Facie for one last time and take this important play on tour across the UK and Ireland. The resonance of Suzie Miller’s writing, both in London and New York, exceeded anything we could have imagined.

‘I’m so thrilled to have the opportunity to get the team back together and take the production to theatres around the country, including my hometown of Liverpool.’

Miller added: ‘I couldn’t be more thrilled about the Prima Facie 2026 tour; this play has already achieved more than we all could have dreamed, and Jodie’s commitment to the story reaching so many new venues and communities means more people can be part of the conversation, and the solution.’

Prima Facie’s tour is set to kick off on 24 January at the Richmond Theatre before finishing up in Jodie’s hometown of Liverpool, playing at the city’s Playhouse on 21 March.
