Jojo Siwa and Chris Hughes are perfectly comfortable talking about their future together, and that apparently includes engagement. During a chat with The Sun, Siwa and Hughes discussed what an engagement between them might look like, and while Hughes insists he wants to be the one to pop the question, he wants to make sure it’s a big surprise.
The reality TV star said that he likes the idea of a proposal being completely unexpected, on a day that no one would think anything was amiss. That means Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and Valentine’s Day are likely all out of the question. He probably won’t be proposing on Siwa’s birthday or their anniversary either, based on his musings. Regardless of the day he picks, it appears Hughes is on notice. Siwa said her beau has seven years to pop the question or she’s doing it herself.
It seems unlikely that she’ll need to wait that long. Hughes has been adamant that Siwa is the one for him. Over the summer, he told E! News that the Dance Moms star-turned-singer is the love of his life.
How did the couple meet?

The duo first met on the set of Celebrity Big Brother UK in early 2025. Siwa was in a relationship with someone else at the time, but her connection with Hughes was evident throughout the season.
In April 2025, Siwa made headlines when Kath Ebbs revealed that Siwa had broken up with them after they traveled to attend an event associated with Celebrity Big Brother UK. Ebbs and Siwa dated for just a few months, though Ebbs insisted the romance was a very serious one. They were publicly heartbroken by the split. Â While Siwa initially denied that the breakup had anything to do with Hughes, it seems abundantly clear that it did.
By May 2025, Hughes and Siwa were spotted together looking cozy. By June, they were officially a public couple. They have been together ever since and never shy away from making it known how into each other they are. Whether that will lead to marriage is still anyone’s guess, but it sounds like it’s on the table.
