Tragedy has struck the Hollywood industry with the passing of renowned actor, Jon Miyahara, known for his role as Brett Kobashigawa on the NBC sitcom.

This was confirmed by his co-star, Colton Dunn in a heartfelt Instagram post.

Colton Dunn paid tribute to Jon Miyahara, describing him as an awesome performer who could convey volumes with a single glance.

He described Miyahara as a memorable part of the Cloud 9 team and emphasized it was a privilege to have partnered with him.

He was such a memorable part of the Cloud 9 team. It was an honour to know him and work with him”,The post stated.

Colton Dunn offered condolences to Jon Miyahara’s family, while the circumstances surrounding his death at 83 remain undisclosed.

Miyahara passed away on August 6, 2025, with his wife, Chiyo by his side.
