Joy Behar launched into a fiery critique of President Trump during an episode of The View, as the panel delved into the escalating tensions with Iran.

The discussion began with a video clip of Trump suggesting that the conflict would soon reach a conclusion. This prompted moderator Whoopi Goldberg to ask her fellow hosts for their thoughts on the “mixed messages” emanating from the President regarding the war.

Behar was quick to respond, delivering an impassioned speech that resonated with the studio audience, who responded with applause.

“It feels like we’re living under a reign of terror,” Behar asserted. “Am I the only one reminded of the French Revolution?”

She went on to express her concerns, stating, “Every day it feels like he stirs up more chaos and spreads more misery globally. The economy is tanking, gas prices are soaring, and world economies are struggling.”

Behar later took aim at Republicans, telling viewers, “We’re in the middle of this and I feel like we’re pretty much helpless to do anything because the Republican party will not stand up to this fool.”

Behar has not been afraid to call Republicans out for backing Trump. After Trump’s recent State of the Union address, the comedian ridiculed Vice President JD Vance and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson for how they behaved as Trump delivered his remarks.

“I was furious and scared, as the Bert and Ernie kept jumping up and down behind him also,” she said, referring to Vance and Johnson.

Behar continued, “Every time he lied, ‘The economy is great,’ these idiots would be [going], ‘Yay!’ ‘Everything’s great, immigrants are the problem.’ ‘Yay!’… It was sickening to watch.”

She and Sunny Hostin agreed that the speech was “disgraceful.”

Behar admitted Trump’s State of the Union address “made me feel really sad. That’s the reason America has been what it is.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
